Dr Leslie Deere, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Guildhall, doctoral examiner and supervisor at the University of Ghent, explores digital performance through a multidisciplinary practice. Bridging physical and virtual realms, Deere's work draws on her academic journey from Dance to Sonic Arts (BA Hons) through the Royal College of Art (MA) to Glasgow School of Art (PhD). Her audiovisual performances and sound installations have been featured at international venues including BFI, MoMA PS1, CCA Glasgow, Whitstable Biennale and Kew Gardens. Deere’s research explores how creative immersive environments enhance artistic expression and wellbeing, weaving technologies with embodied performance to create meaningful dialogue between digital systems and live presence.
